Generally, the original handlebar of dirt bike is 22mm without crossbar. However, to increase the reliability and safety of handlebar, engineer designed this model of handlebar crossbar. When fixing this strengthen bar, you need to unfix the bolts first, then fix one end of bolt, but not tightly fix it. Third, fix another end of bolt, once you are sure the right position for the strengthen bar, you can fix both bolts.

There're stainless steel handlebar welded with crossbar, but if the aluminum handlebar is welded with crossbar, its strength will be compromised. Instead, it will be a perfect solution to clamp the crossbar on the aluminum handlebar.

Crossbars can effectively support the handlebars in the up/down directions, but are ineffective in the forward/backward directions.
